Fly into Palm Beach International Airport in West Palm Beach. It’s about as close to the center of this itinerary as you’re going to get. Rent a car and get on I-95 North to Vero Beach. It’s about 65 miles away and will take you about an hour and a half.
When you get there, you’ll want to stay on the beach. While there are several nice hotels, a fantastic place to stay is Disney’s Vero Beach Resort (9250 Island Grove Terrace, US A1A, Vero Beach; 772-234-2180). It’s a little north of Vero Beach on US A1A, but it’s worth the extra drive. Enjoy a nice dinner in Vero Beach and then take a long walk on the beach.
