Florida Spring Training: Your Guide To Touring The Grapefruit League |
Fly into Southwest Florida International Airport, rent your car, and drive to the Best Western Waterfront (see Chapter 4), where you will spend three nights. It’s located in downtown Fort Myers and is a great stepping off point for baseball in the area. You’ll probably be tired from the flight, so enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants down the Tamiami Trail. It’s the main street in Fort Myers. If you arrive early and have the energy, take in some of the local sights.
Note: If you don’t already have tickets for tomorrow’s Red Sox game at City of Palms Park, drive over and try to get them today. Be forewarned.
