Orlando's not a one-mouse town and this is the site that proves it! |
The Canadian atmosphere is just one of the factors that make Knology a fun place for baseball fans. Another is the autograph opportunities. You will get autographs here. You’ll get as many as you want from both the home and visiting team — even if the visitors are the Yankees or the Braves.
This stadium is designed for autograph seekers. On the home (first base) side, the players walk along a four-foot chain link fence to get from the dugout to the clubhouse. The entrance to the clubhouse is adjacent to the end of the fans’ area. A Blue Jay player must walk a great distance out of his way to avoid autograph hunters. On the visitors’ side, the players have to walk through a passage that includes about 15 feet of fan access on one side. Visiting teams cannot even walk out of their way to avoid signing. They have no choice but to come close to the fans, and most players do not ignore requests for autographs when the fans are that close. In fact, putting the fans close to the players is what Knology Park is all about. It is one of the more intimate parks in baseball, the second smallest in the Grapefruit League. Every seat is close to the action. To top it off, tickets are available for most games and they are inexpensive, except for “premium” games. While the town of Dunedin may be out of the way for many people, Knology Park is not to be missed. It’s an experience you won’t forget, eh? Didn't find what you were looking for? Try a Google search.
