Tampa Bay Devil Rays: Up Close and Personal?

If you want to be close to a baseball player, step out to the berm and sit on the front row. The berm is directly behind the Devil Rays’ bullpen and there are plenty of players around.

Note: Be aware that the players are not willing to talk during the game and will not sign autographs while they are in the bullpen.

In any other spot, you will be quite separated from the players, thanks to the stadium’s design. While Progress Energy Park has an average number of seats, the stadium stops shortly after the first and third bases. There are no bleachers stretching out alongside the outfield lines, which is what allows every seat to be close to the field in the better-designed stadiums. Here, the top seats are relatively high up and the front row seats are separated from the field by a four-foot cement wall. You have to look over it to watch the game.
