Buy your ticket as early as possible. This is one of the hardest tickets to get in the Grapefruit League. On average, there are only 15 tickets left on game day. This is not because of the Yankees’ large fan base; it’s because of the success the team has had in selling corporate season tickets. Most of the lower bowl seats are held by companies, and they are often empty.

If you didn’t buy ahead and your heart is set on going to a Yankees game at Legends Field, you can try for a ticket to a game with one of the less popular teams. For instance, I got my ticket to a Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays game at the Legends Field’s ticket window the morning of the game.

Note: There was some scalping outside the stadium, but surprisingly, not a lot. Be careful if you decide to go this route. Make sure you check your tickets carefully before handing off any money.

Although they are in great demand, Legends Field tickets are only slightly more expensive than the Grapefruit League average. Some stadiums that host lesser teams charge more.
