Florida Spring Training: Your Guide To Touring The Grapefruit League |
This is probably the best feature of this stadium. There is the perfect balance of shade and sun; everyone can be happy. If you are looking to sit in the shade, buy your tickets early and aim for the middle. The stadium is designed with a rather large roof that hangs over the center section. The sun is behind the roof for much of the game because the stadium faces north. However, the sun shines on a significant percentage of seats. Any of the reserved seats near the end, especially those on the first base side, will get a lot of sun, as will all bleacher seats and (most likely) the berm. Note: No seats are perfect for getting a suntan. Fans on the first base side have their back to the sun for most of the game and those on the third base side have their sides to the sun.
