Florida Spring Training: Your Guide To Touring The Grapefruit League |
The Mets field a large but mediocre program. It’s printed on heavy, white non-glossy paper, so the pictures aren’t as sharp as in many other programs. And there’s not much to read — only three articles in the program I got. On the plus side, the Mets’ program includes mug shots of every player, Baseball America’s feature on the team’s upcoming prospects, a scorecard and instructions on how to keep score, and a numerical roster. However, the roster is mixed in with the rosters of every team the Mets play, and there is only one year of statistics on each of the players — even the stars. It would be nice to have more to read. Perhaps a recap of the previous season or an outlook for the future would provide better value for the consumer. Cost: $5
