Florida Spring Training: Your Guide To Touring The Grapefruit League
New York Mets: Autographs

Your best bet for getting an autograph is to get to the stadium about four hours before the game. You will be allowed into certain sections of the practice field and some of the Mets players will sign, not many, however. The team roster is filled with players, such as Mo Vaughn, who sign few autographs and refuse to acknowledge the fan’s presence. However, some do sign. The key is to be able to walk with the players as they move from one practice field to the other.

You can also try for autographs during the game. Stand near the bullpen in the terrace field section or along the front row past the first base dugout. While it is still going to be tough to get Mike Piazza’s autograph, many of the players will come over and sign in these areas.

After the game, you’ll have a chance at some players as well. The players’ parking lot is on the first base side of the stadium. Sometimes, players will come over on their way out and sign a few. It’s hit and miss here, however.
