Florida Spring Training: Your Guide To Touring The Grapefruit League
Minnesota Twins: Introduction

As we go to press, there is word that Hammond Stadium is scheduled to undergo renovations and construction, to be completed by the beginning of Spring Training 2007. Several details are still unconfirmed, but a July 2006 story in the Naples Daily News informs us that there will be a new berm for lawn seating and standing room, to be installed along right field, where the visitors' bullpen was previously located, as well as a new concession area by the new berm, and a couple of rows of premium seating behind home plate. Bill Hammond Stadium is just plain white inside with no bright colors to catch the eye. The grandstands are too high, putting the seats at the top quite a distance from the field, and they end just a few sections away from the dugouts instead of extending out to flank the outfield. The small roof covers relatively few seats, and there is only one spot to buy souvenirs.
