Florida Spring Training: Your Guide To Touring The Grapefruit League |
The concessions may be the best thing about Bill Hammond Stadium. There are plenty of options, from turkey legs to frozen lemonade. The jumbo hot dog is just that, very jumbo. In fact, the hot dog is too big for the bun. I would stick with something else, like the turkey leg. Beer drinkers will love this stadium. It may have the best selection of beer anywhere in the Grapefruit League — but only at the bar. The regular concession stands serve the usual Budweiser and Bud Light. For the good stuff, go to the end of the stadium on the third base side. There you will find hidden a little bar that serves all sorts of bottled beer and a selection of imports on tap. The bar area has shaded picnic tables and a television. It’s crowded during most of the game. By the time you visit, an additional concession area may be open near the new berm along right field.
