Florida Spring Training: Your Guide To Touring The Grapefruit League
Minnesota Twins: Autographs

Don’t count on getting an autograph here. Because of the stadium’s design — players enter and exit the through the dugouts — there are limited opportunities to ask Twins for their signatures.

Your best bet is either to arrive or leave early. Then stake your claim to a place in the aisle in front of the first row of seats on the side of the Twins dugout closer to home plate. Occasionally a player will come over to sign. Even more occasionally, players will sign on the side of the dugout closer to the outfield, and sometimes, but not often, players will stop and sign in front of the dugout. In this case, you have to toss your autographable item over the dugout to the player. Make sure you have the player’s attention before tossing anything.

On the visitor’s side, there is a small area of empty space near the field. It’s at the end of the stands next to the first row of seats. All the visiting players have to walk by this spot, which is right next to the bullpen, to get to the field. I'm hoping the addition of berm seating will improve fans' odds of getting autographs on this side of the field.

I also spotted a roped-off area outside the ballpark on the northwest side of the stadium. Players have to walk along it to get from the practice fields to the stadium. While I did not see autographing activity there, it may be just a matter of timing.
