Green Meadows Farm

Admisson: $19 general admission, Florida residents $17, seniors (55+) $16, children 2 and under free.
Spread over 50 acres, this petting farmconducts 2-hour guided tours ideal for small fry ages three to seven. Youngsters can meet piglets, ducklings, chicks, and other common and not-so-common farm animals, including llama, buffalo, and ostriches. Admission also covers a train ride and a trip on a haywagon.
Old Town

Old Town offers shopping, dining, and entertainment, and features over 70 specialty shops, many affordable restaurants, 18 amusement park rides, 25-cent Pepsi’s, and the weekly “Saturday Night Cruise,” a parade of 350 or so vintage automobiles.
Gatorland

The original Orlando theme park, Gatorland bills itself as “The Alligator Capital of the World,” complete with gator wrestling (man vs. gator) and opportunities to feed the gators. In March, it is also a destination for birdwatchers, who will find over 1,000 pairs of nesting herons and egrets in the trees above the park’s alligator breeding marsh. The birds find the well-fed gators below good protection for their young from predators like racoons and snakes. Perhaps that’s why visitors can get very close to their nests without alarming them.
