Cincinnati Reds: Programs

The Reds’ program, like its admission, is reasonably priced and a worthwhile investment. It will give you everything you need to know about the Cincinnati Reds. In fact, with its insightful article about the Reds’ prospects for the new season, it just might be one of the best programs in the Grapefruit League.

The program offers mug shots and fairly detailed biographies of each player on the 40-man roster. There was enough personal information in the bios, for instance, to jog my memory about Felipe Lopez. Turns out, he’s the same Felipe Lopez who graduated from my wife’s high school a few years ago. Without the program, I wouldn’t have put the two together.

The program also includes an alphabetical roster of the team, by position, with uniform numbers. There is a statistics page, graphs, and brief instructions on how to keep score. Unlike many programs, it actually talks about Spring Training. Last time I visited, there was a lengthy article about changes in the Reds organization and some informed speculation about what fans should be looking for as the season progressed. There is also a lot of space devoted to the front office and hitting home runs. Not a big deal. But with the in-depth analysis of that article this could be the top program in Spring Training.

Cost: $4
