Florida Spring Training: Your Guide To Touring The Grapefruit League |
Buy your tickets early. This is the toughest ticket in all of Spring Training. The Red Sox averaged over 200 people more than the stadium’s seating capacity at every game, meaning nearly every game was standing room only. Fortunately for last-minute planners, many of the standing room tickets are held back until game day.
Standing room tickets allow you to stand in the main aisle that separates the lower level seats from the upper level seats. It’s not a bad view, just stake your place early and don’t leave it open. An alternative is to go to the top of the third base grandstands. There are picnic tables there that open up when the game starts. Pull one to the edge of the seating area and have a fine time. Yet another alternative is to head for the bleachers that run almost to the outfield on the first base side. Again, get there early if you want to sit down. There are also some grassy areas in front of the bleachers, but those go quickly, too. Another option is to stand in the walkway above the left field seats, as I mention above. Behind this walk are the Red Sox’ training areas and it’s not uncommon to see the players with their families and friends, often in their street clothes. Standing here has the extra advantage of putting you close to two prime autograph areas (see below). Capacity: 6,990 Average Attendance: 7,878 Ticket Prices: Box Seat $24-$44 Reserved Seats $21 Bleachers $13 Lawn $12 Standing Room $10 For Tickets: 877-733-7699 or 239-334-4700 Didn't find what you were looking for?
