Florida Spring Training: Your Guide To Touring The Grapefruit League
Boston Red Sox: Introduction

As I sat in my hotel room in Fort Lauderdale, I was worried. A consistent procrastinator, I had waited to buy tickets until two days before the Boston Red Sox game against the Cleveland Indians across the peninsula in Fort Myers. After wading through the lengthy voice mail system, the results came through: There weren’t any tickets!

This is a scary situation for anyone on vacation who wants to see a show or a sporting event. What happens if the only day you’ve planned for a ballgame, the game is sold out? You have to rearrange your schedule or miss the event.

There are only two ballparks within fifty miles and both are relatively small. Besides, the Red Sox are a hot team. (Fort Myers is one of the only places you’ll have this problem.)

That said, going to a ballgame in Fort Myers is a wonderful experience. City of Palms Park is a great place to watch a game. This is one park where you can really meet most of the stars, and there is plenty to do before and after the game.
