Florida Spring Training: Your Guide To Touring The Grapefruit League |
Fort Lauderdale Stadium has one of the most confusing stadium arrangements in the Grapefruit League. If you are in the bleachers, you can’t go to the grandstands. If you’re in the grandstands, you can’t go to the bleachers. So figure out where you’re sitting before you go to the park. A nice touch is that this is one of only a few stadiums with seating in the outfield, but you can’t reach it unless you have a ticket to the right-field bleachers. The comfort level depends on where you sit. The bleachers here, as at most stadiums, are just that, long metal seats. The seats in the reserved grandstand section are old and somewhat uncomfortable wood planks that fold up. They do, however, have armrests. The box seats are another story. They may be the best seats in all of Spring Training thanks to their generous legroom. One of the most frustrating things about sports today is the lack of space between the seats. Throughout most games, you’re standing up to let people in or out, or you’re bumping into people to get to your own seats. In Fort Lauderdale Stadium’s box seat section, that is never a problem. You have almost two to three feet between seats, leaving plenty of room to stretch out or walk the aisles. What a difference! Didn't find what you were looking for? Try a Google search.
