If you want shade, sit at the top of the lower level. Cracker Jack Stadium faces south, which is not advantageous for shade. The sun is in the southern sky in spring, and it shines on the field for most of the game. The best bet is a seat on the first base side. Be aware that the top level offers no shade whatsoever until almost the end of the game when the sun goes behind the sky boxes on the right field side.
