Florida Spring Training: Your Guide To Touring The Grapefruit League |
The program here is not as thick as some other Spring Training programs, but it is a worthwhile investment. It has plenty of stories, both on the baseball side of the team and the personal side. For instance, the program I got had an interesting story on several of the players' vacations. (Funny how most of those vacations took place at a Walt Disney property.) The program included a scorecard for those like myself who still like to hand score a baseball game. It included the essential numerical roster of players based on position. It also had individual mug shots of the entire team in alphabetical order. This is a feater that should be in every Spring Training program so you can start to learn who's who when you first walk into the stadium. The Disney program also gets my award for the cheesiest feature: a centerfold with star players dressed in Disney clothing. I gotta admit, it's something no other program attempts.
