Your best bet is to buy tickets on the Internet before you come to Florida. Worlds of Discovery offers some attractive online-only ticket deals to encourage you to do just that, including adult tickets at child’s prices and early admission to Aquatica.
At press time, all online ticketing options let you print out your ticket at home, ready to take to the park, but there are some subtle differences. If you purchase a single or multi-day ticket online, you can print out a ticket at home and head straight for the turnstile, where you will have to verify your identity.
If you purchased a Passport online, you can still print out a voucher, but when you arrive at the park, head for one of the electronic kiosks near the entrance. It will scan the bar code on your voucher and print out a ticket for you. If you opted for EZ Pay, you will have to stop into the office near the gate that handles annual passes.
Note: Everyone 16 years of age or older will be required to produce a photo ID when redeeming a voucher either at Guest Services or at the park turnstile.
If you prefer to have the tickets you bought online sent to you, UPS Ground shipping (6 to 8 business days in the U.S. only) is $5. Faster Fed-Ex shipping (3 to 4 business days) is available for $10, as is overseas delivery.
You can also buy tickets and Passports at the parks, in person or at one of the electronic kiosks. You will not get the online deals if you do. If you go this route, I suggest you buy your tickets on a day you won’t be using them; that way, the time your spend purchasing your ticket won’t cut into your park touring time. If you use a travel agent, allow several weeks to receive your tickets. You can also visit your local AAA office if you are a member, or try the services of Ticketmania, described later.
