On the other side of the Information Central building, a comfortable theater specializes in showing short films on various aspects of space and the space program. These films run continuously, with a short break between showings. The current offering is Quest for Life, an earnest but not terribly compelling film that surveys the latest scientific theories about the origins of life on earth and then speculates on the likelihood of life existing elsewhere in the universe. The filmmakers use extremely optimistic odds in making their calculations, odds that have been challenged by some scientists, although the controversy on this point is not noted in the film.
