Time: 40 minutes
This 3D film shows us what things were like for the 12 men lucky enough to walk on the moon, everything from first impressions, to first words, to dealing with locomotion in a low-gravity environment (it seems more than a few took face-first tumbles while getting their space legs), to what they came away with, and what they left behind. Using historic footage, computer-generated images, and live-action recreations, as well as voice-overs from the men who made it to the moon, the film shows us what an extraordinary thing it is to walk on the moon, and celebrates the people who made it there, and the people who made it possible. Tom Hanks makes an enthusiastic and down-to-earth narrator for this spectacle, and the film concludes with a look to the future, including a survey of current plans to return to the moon.
