There are no money changers in the Temple, but there is shopping nearby, much of it near the front entrance. A lot of the merchandise is from Israel, including some lovely Havdalah candles, cups and plates, and Nativity scenes carved from olive wood. There is original religious art at prices (up to $5,000) that might make you say a quick prayer. You can also find Bibles and a variety of devotional books, audiotapes, and videos, although not as many as you might expect. Indeed, the proselytizing seems decidedly muted. A section of The Old Scroll shop near the entrance has a children’s area featuring a big-screen TV and Biblical videos.
