The Holy Land Experience is recommended as a full-day experience, although to fully absorb all the park has to offer will require coming back for at least a second visit. When you arrive, you will be given a fold-out map that contains information about the park’s amenities and services. You will also get a separate schedule of live shows and other events that you can use to plan your day.
There are two types of attractions: “Featured Venues,” indoor, theater-style shows, about 20 to 30 minutes in length, that operate on a more or less continuous schedule, and “Live Shows and Presentations,” a mixture of musical shows and dramatic presentations, both indoors and outdoors, most of which have just one performance each day. In addition, a 20-minute guided tour of the park is offered each morning.
I found the most workable strategy was to arrive early and see a few of the live performances first. The schedule is such that you have a comfortable amount of time to move from one show to the next and get a good seat. During the hottest part of the day (for you summer visitors), you can see the indoor presentations.
This touring strategy will take you into the late afternoon. If you wish, you can linger and see some of the shows again while waiting for nightfall. You can also have dinner at the Oasis Palms. But even if you leave early, you might want to return after dark (remember to save your ticket) when the park is open late for the holidays. The Plaza of Nations, with its torches lit, is especially nice at night.
