During the Christmas and Easter seasons additional live performances with an appropriate holiday theme will almost certainly be added, oftentimes displacing one or more of the shows already mentioned. Some, but by no means all, special holiday shows may require an additional charge.
During the Christmas season, you might see Come To The Manger, while at Easter you might see Follow Me: The Road To Resurrection. These shows are more elaborate versions of the shows described above. The Christmas show I saw, for example, involved five separate locations around the park and featured a dramatic entrance by the three wise men. The music is in the quasi-operatic Andrew Lloyd Webber mode and many of the vocal performances are quite accomplished.
Typically, there will be two shows a day, one in the early afternoon and one just before the park closes in the evening. However, I am told there are changes in the works, so if you are planning on visiting during a holiday period, it’s a good idea to call ahead or visit the Holy Land web site to find out what will be playing when you arrive.
