Type: Musical show and preaching
Time: 30 minutes
Kelly says: An odd but effective mix
A video introduction sets the scene: It’s ancient Egypt, not a great time to be an infant Jewish boy, because the Pharaoh wants you dead. Segue to live action and a musical dramatization of the rescue of Moses, his discovery by a princess, and the fateful decisions that saved his life. It’s nicely done.
Almost as entertaining is the show’s second segment when an accomplished preacher takes over to narrate the continued story of how Moses became God’s chosen vessel to free the Israelites from bondage. The best part is the preacher’s rendition of the various ways in which Moses tried to talk his way out of what must have seemed a hopeless mission.
