The performance may leave something to be desired but this is a great idea — actors from The Holy Land ensemble get volunteers from the audience for some good-natured acting out of favorite tales from the Bible. The show I caught featured David (played by a grown-up) and Goliath (played by a kid in a big helmet). The moral being “life is full of giants. But when we place our trust in God, He’ll slay our giants for us.”
The KidVenture area doubles as a play area where kids can burn off some excess energy when they aren’t feeling particularly devotional. There’s a small-scale climbing wall and a misting area to help overheated kids cool off.
