No mere rooms here! Everything is a “villa” or, if you prefer, an apartment. Your choices range from studios, to one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas, all of which are lavishly furnished and have fully functioning and well appointed kitchens complete with plates, silverware, and little extras like coffee filters, paper towels and dishwashing detergent. All one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas feature jacuzzi-style tubs, and a washer and dryer.
The villas are lavishly and tastefully decorated, avoiding the pastel Florida vacation home cliches you so often encounter in Orlando-area rental homes. The beds are substantial as is the bedding, with its soft sheets and abundance of pillows. All units have generous seating and dining areas, and some of us will appreciate the televisions in all bedrooms as well as the living area.
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and it seems rare that a unit is available earlier. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m., somewhat earlier than you may be used to, so be aware.
The rates are surprisingly moderate, especially when you consider that a two-bedroom unit can sleep up to eight people. Here are the nightly rates from low to high during the year; they rise and fall in sync with Orlando’s tourist traffic (see Chapter One: Dive Right In).
Studio $129 - $259
1 Bedroom $149 - $299
2 Bedroom $219 - $399
3 Bedroom $299 - $499
