This ultra-luxurious 1,000-room hotel on 500 lushly landscaped acres is the grandest of the Marriott properties included in the Marriott/SeaWorld packages. It has received four diamonds from AAA and three stars from Mobil and is home to a pair of gourmet restaurants. There are 518 double rooms, 418 king rooms, and 64 expansive suites, all with luxurious bedding. And if this isn’t grand enough for you, you can move next door to the Ritz-Carlton.

This is a splashy, sprawling 2,000-room convention meeting hotel at the southern end of International Drive. Its proximity to Walt Disney World makes it an attractive choice to families who will be visiting Mickey as well. You might also want to consider the two timeshare properties, Royal and Sabal Palms (see below) next to the hotel. It’s a strikingly modern tower, featuring a soaring atrium lobby and exterior elevators that zip up 27 stories, offering expansive views to the south. The hotel also features what may be the nicest looking pool of all the properties reviewed in this chapter. It is, however, the most distant from the parks and is frequently booked solid with meetings and conventions.
