This spectacular lobby bar is instantly recognizable by the sixteen-screen video display of gaudily colored tropical fish. It’s an ideal place to meet — and impress — guests who might be joining you for dinner. You can have a pre-meal cocktail, a sushi appetizer, or simply stay here and make a meal of the ultra-fresh sushi and sashimi it serves.
The servings are appetizer size and most people seem to use the food as ballast for the fancy (and pricey) martinis and other trendy mixed drinks. The menu leans heavily to makimono, or rolls of rice and fish wrapped in seaweed. There are just a handful of sashimi (or raw fish) choices.
Most dishes are in the $10 to $15 range. Unfortunately, there is only one sampler platter on offer, a sashimi selection. Solution: bring a group, order a selection, and share.
