Shingle Creek has two extremely good restaurants at price points that will deter all but the well heeled and the expense account crowd. For those whose ship has yet to come in, there are more moderate choices close at hand.
In addition to the eateries reviewed here, the hotel offers the Häagen-Dazs Creek Ice Creamery, located near 18 Monroe Street (reviewed below) and the pool area. Also by the pool is Cat-Tails Pool Bar & Grille, an outdoor bar offering light meals and pizzas in addition to the usual poolside beverages. An alternative for a quick breakfast is offered by Smoooth Java, a Starbucks lookalike on the way to the convention center. Needless to say, there is also 24-hour room service.
Finally, by the first tee of the golf course is a snack operation called Par Take. As the name suggests, you can get snacks to take with you on the course, but if you get caught short on the 12th tee, you can place an order from your golf cart and, thanks to your cart’s GPS system, they’ll find you and deliver. The delivery cart comes complete with a bar!
