Behind a waterfall and a curved staircase that leads to a second-level area used for private functions, this open-sided casual eatery earns its sports bar name by virtue of the flat-screen televisions tuned to sports channels that dot the walls. There is no sign to tell you its name, but it’s easy enough to find, as the tables spill out into the lobby on one side.
This is the spot for a quick bite or a long drink. The food is a scaled down version of what you might expect at Tradewinds, served on the same sleek rectangular plates. There is classic bar grub like Buffalo wings and quesadillas (organic ones here). The Main Plates are really appetizer-sized servings of tasty items like baby back ribs, and shrimp with sausage-spiked cheese grits. There are desserts, too.
Despite the sports bar name and ambience, this is a kid-friendly restaurant. It is probably your best bet if you have little ones in tow.
