This is one of two slides that share the same superstructure. Walhalla Wave is a “family raft ride,” which means that up to four people share a round rubber raft, thoughtfully fitted with hand holds. They zip down a 600-foot series of twists and turns, partly open and partly enclosed and dotted with waterfalls to douse you as you enter or emerge from the tunnels. It’s an exhilarating and somewhat disorienting ride to the bottom.
The rafts that this ride uses are brought to the top by a conveyor belt, so you don’t have to lug your own. A thoughtful touch.
