Although Aquatica is open year-round and keeps the water on its slides heated to ward off the chill of Orlando’s winter, the warmer months are clearly the preferred time for a visit. As I’ve noted earlier, Orlando in the winter months can be comfortably warm or subject to “killer” frosts. In the summer, Aquatica makes for a refreshing break from the often blistering heat. Just don’t forget the sun screen!
If you are visiting during the warmer and, therefore, busier months, you will be well advised to arrive early in the day. Aquatica has proven to be extremely popular; on more than one occasion the park has filled to capacity by 11:30 a.m. with latecomers being turned away.
