Kelly says: A must for pet lovers
If you saw Animal Actors at Universal Studios Florida, you might be tempted to skip this one. However, if you are a pet lover, you’ll want to put this charming show on your list. It offers a pleasant break from the hot Florida sun.
The SeaWorld twist here is that almost all the animals in the show were found in Central Florida animal shelters and rescued from an uncertain fate. As a result, the cast list runs heavily to cats and dogs, although there is an amusing pig, a skunk, and even a mouse.
Ace trainer Joel Slaven (of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective fame) has done an amazing job here, especially with the cats. Not only do Slaven’s pussycats do every doggie trick and do them better but there is a cat who does a tightwire act and one who bounds over the heads of the audience, jumping from one tiny platform to another.
