Rating: * * * + This boisterous and fun show takes place in that “paradise where the water meets the land,” and mixes a little bit of water skiing, a little bit of derring-do, and a lot of bare flesh to very entertaining effect. It takes place in Atlantis Bayside Stadium and uses both the beach and the lagoon as a stage. Some of the best bits are the simplest, as when two watercraft tow tiered kites that do a little aerial ballet. Then there’s a truly impressive high dive off a teensy platform 80 feet up into water just a few feet from the shore; someone must have dug an awfully deep hole. A highlight of the show is a routine that takes the idea of playing frisbee with your dog to new heights. After watching this young woman put her mutt through its paces, you’ll want to schedule some serious training time with your own pet when you get back home. The real attraction here, I must admit, is the attractive young cast. The guys are all buff, the girls are all gorgeous and they change into a dazzling variety of swimwear that is as colorful as it is sexy. Between water ski stunts they perform energetic dance numbers to an infectious and hyper-amplified pop-rock beat. Get to the show early so your kids can play with the cast members in the sand.
