Yes, you can interact with the animals at SeaWorld — if you have the money and can meet these programs’ age and height requirements. SeaWorld offers four interaction programs, ranging in price from $40 to $399 including tax. One lets you swim with Shamu’s cousin, the beluga whale, and learn some training commands. Another gives you an up-close look (but no real interaction, thankfully) with a bunch of sharks.
Despite the high prices, the programs are very much in demand and arrangements have to be made well in advance of your visit. Reservations for all these programs can be made by calling (800) 406-2244 or (407) 363-2380. Reservations can also be made at the Tour desk near the front entrance to the park. Most program fees are non-refundable, although you may be able to reschedule.
