This is two shops, really, each with its own entrance and specialty but joined at the hip so you can pass from one to the other. The gelateria side serves gelato, the creamy Italian ice cream, handmade daily on the premises. You can have it straight, in a sundae, or in a cream-topped milk shake. Sorbets and Italian ices are also served.
Pop next door for a coffee, espresso, cappuccino, or latte in any of their increasingly elaborate variations. A small selection of cookies, muffins, pastries, and cakes is also served here. In the mornings, croissants, muffins, and fresh fruit are laid out, making this a good serve-yourself alternative to a room service breakfast. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. In the Italian tradition, these establishments take a leisurely midday break.
