An inviting palapa-like bar beckons thirsty swimmers with exotic drink concoctions (about $9) ranging from Mai Tais to less well-known potions with names like “Witch Doctor,” whose lengthy list of ingredients might give even the heartiest boozer pause. Other drinks are available as well, of course, with beers going for $5 to $6. Non-alcoholic Tropical Smoothies (about $6) in strawberry, mango, and passion fruit flavors are also on tap for those who want to get into the South Seas swing of things and still walk.
Snacks and light meals are available from the Grille part of the establishment, cooked up in a small kitchen a few paces away. They range in price from $8 to $14 and include nachos with a roasted pepper cheese sauce, fish tacos, and (at about $12) the Big Bula Burger. More adult choices include grilled mahi mahi, chimichuri steak wrap, and Pacifica ceviche. The food here is surprisingly substantial and quite good, making the Bula Bar an option for your main meal of the day.
As with all the poolside eateries at Universal Orlando, an 18% gratuity is automatically added to all bills.
