Volleyball Court
Also just outside the pool, on the very edge of the Bali Sea, is a splendidly inviting white sand regulation volleyball court. It’s first come, first served and free. Grab a ball at the pool towel hut.
The Mariners’ Club
Just past the Game Room is Royal Pacific’s children’s playroom. For more information about the services offered here, see Good Things To Know About... Kids’ Activities in the introductory section of this chapter. Make your reservations 24 hours in advance by calling 33230 on a hotel phone or (407) 503-3230 from outside.
The Gymnasium
This sleek, modern, but rather spartan fitness room is close by the Lagoon Pool, just past the Treasures of Bali shop as you head to the convention center. The equipment is state-of-the-art but free weights are also available for the old-fashioned pumping iron crowd. The fee is $8 per day, $14 for two days, and $20 for three; it includes use of the sauna, steam bath, and a unisex whirlpool room, which is a particularly lovely place to hang out and relax. Club Level guests and Loews First members receive complimentary use of the fitness facilities. Kids 12 through 15 are allowed, but only if they have adult supervision. The Gymnasium is open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Croquet Lawn
Far from the frenzied activity of the pool area, on the other side of the Royal Tower wing, is a meticulously groomed croquet lawn, where the harried executive can come to unwind and practice those tricky cannon shots. If you didn’t bring your own, you can pick up free mallets and balls at The Gymnasium.
