Club Level

The rooms and suites on the seventh floor have been set aside for those who insist on a little extra from their hotel stay. The concept is much like the Concierge Levels you may have encountered at those high-priced hotels that cater to business travelers, except this one has the hip name “Club 7.”

For starters, access to the seventh floor is strictly limited. Just to make sure you are not bothered by the riffraff, you have to insert your room key into a slot in the elevator before it will take you to seven. Once there, you can step into a spacious lounge staffed with friendly hosts and hostesses, who serve as your personal concierge from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. This is where you come in the morning for a complimentary continental breakfast and to glance through the tony out of town papers high rollers insist upon. The lounge serves refreshments throughout the day; hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine in the evening; and cookies and milk before bedtime..

Club Level guests can borrow from the Club’s collection of 500 rock CDs for private listening in their rooms. If they’re feeling more sociable, the Club lounge offers two large screen TVs with DVD players in an area with very comfy seating. Club level guests also receive free access to the hotel’s fitness center and a discount on those pricey poolside cabanas (see above).

Camp L’il Rock

Hard Rock’s kiddie club is located on the ground floor not far from the pool. For more information about the services offered here, see Good Things To Know About ...Kids’ Activities in the introductory section of this chapter. Make your reservations 24 hours in advance by calling 32230 on a hotel phone or (407) 503-2230 from outside.

Workout Room

The compact fitness center on the ground floor has a small selection of treadmills and weight machines and even some free weights for purists. After your workout, you can relax in a steam room or sauna and then change in the locker room. Separate facilities are provided for men and women. There is an $8 a day fee for use of the facilities, $14 for two days, and $20 for three. Club Level guests and Loews First members get in free. Hours are 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Kids 12 through 15 are allowed, but only if they have adult supervision. Joggers can take off for a loop around either the Bay at Portofino Bay in one direction or CityWalk in the other.
