Other Fun Things To Do At WDW - Epcot

• Quench your thirst free at Ice Station Cool (a refreshment center that serves soft drinks popular in countries such as Japan, Mexico, and Italy). You’ll find it at the end of Innoventions-West Side.

• Find the “talking trash can” at the Electric Umbrella restaurant. It speaks to you when you push the trash panel open. This special trash can is moved around by the Disney folks but is usually located inside the restaurant. Ask a nearby Disney cast member (especially if he or she is emptying trash cans) where the talking can is located.

• Check out the Wonders of Laugh show at the Wonders of Life Pavilion. Check your Times Guide for performances or check inside the pavilion.

• Buy a same-day ticket (at the Green Thumb Emporium) or reserve in advance for the 1-hour “Behind The Seeds” guided tour of the greenhouses at The Land Pavilion (cost is about $6 for adults and $4 for children ages 3 to 9; booking starts at 9:00 a.m.). Longer Epcot tours are offered to guests 16 and older. Among the offerings are the 3-hour “Gardens of the World” tour (Tuesdays and Thursdays, about $59 per person not including park admission) and the 3-hour “Hidden Treasures of World Showcase” architectural tour (Tuesdays and Thursdays, about $59 per person not including park admission). Or visit backstage in some of the Future World pavilions in the 4.5-hour “Undiscovered Future World” tour ($49 per person not including park admission).

Call 407-939-8687 for information, ticket prices, and reservations for Epcot tours.

• At The Living Seas Pavilion, scuba dive (daily, about $140 per person including all necessary gear for a 2.5- hour session that includes a 30-minute “dive adventure”). Or learn about dolphins in depth (weekdays, about $140 per person for a 3.5-hour program). You must be 16 or older to participate, and park admission is neither included nor required. Call 407-939-8687 for information and reservations for either activity.

• Take a free guided tour of Norway or Morocco (check your Guidemap or at the pavilions for times).

• Visit the exhibits in China, Japan, and Morocco.

• Watch the evening IllumiNations from a boat under the bridge between France and the United Kingdom. Very relaxing and romantic! You can rent a pontoon boat or The Breathless (a sleek motor boat) by calling ahead to 407-939-7529. Cost is about $120 per pontoon boatload of up to 10 guests, and about $160 for up to 7 guests on The Breathless. Food and drink are not included but can be ordered (contact Guest Services at the resort from which you are departing, or call 407-934-3160). You do not have to be a Disney property guest to rent a boat or order food.
Tip: IllumiNations Cruises are very popular. Start calling 2 to 3 minutes before 7:00 a.m. 90 days (even try 91 or 92 days!) in advance of the date you want. That’s 7:00 a.m. Florida time!

These boats can be rented during the day as well. The Breathless costs $25 for a 10-minute trip and $75 for 30 minutes for up to 7 guests.

• Enjoy any special seasonal festivals or events at Epcot.
