Type: Aerial train ride
Time: 3 minutes
Short Take: A pleasant new perspective on Seuss Landing
Based loosely on Dr. Seuss’s anti-discrimination parable about Sylvester McMonkey McBean and the Sneetches, this brief excursion over Seuss Landing is designed for the kiddies but offers rewards for their adult companions.
Cute and colorful five-car, 20-passenger trolleys tootle along two separate tracks, each traveling a slightly different aerial route. In addition, each train has two different audio tracks, which adds up to four different experiences. This is definitely one your child will want to ride multiple times. Mom and Dad won’t mind the repetition because there’s plenty to see. Unfortunately, the slow-moving line may make that difficult unless you have Express Plus passes, so head here early in the day.
The train to your right as you enter the platform has the more interesting route, as it passes though the Circus McGurkus restaurant before heading out over Seuss Landing. Most of the trip is in the open air on loopy swirling tracks that take you on a bird’s eye tour of this magical land. If you weren’t impressed by the design of Seuss Landing after strolling through, this ride will change your mind.
Note: This is a gentle ride, but it is “high in the sky” so those with a fear of heights might want to give it a pass.
