The theme of World Expo is a typical World’s Fair Exposition park. The result is a display of contemporary architecture and design that manages to be at once very attractive and rather characterless, although the buildings look quite zippy at night. Fortunately, people don’t come here to muse on aesthetics.
There are two huge buildings here built to house two huge rides. Men In Black is going strong, but the other building, once the home to the legendary simulator ride, Back To The Future...The Ride, was closed at press time and undergoing renovations for a new ride based on television’s long-running The Simpsons.
Whether it will employ the same simulator technology as Back To The Future is anyone’s guess. Whatever the choice, the new ride will have a tough act to follow.
