Surprisingly perhaps, there’s not a huge amount of shopping here. E.T.’s Toy Closet is the small shop you must pass through as you decompress from your visit to E.T.’s home planet. There are plenty of E.T. toys and such, but perhaps your best bet is a souvenir photo of your child on a bike with E.T. in the basket and a huge silver moon as backdrop. Don’t forget the Reese’s Pieces!
Cuddly plush toys and gaily decorated children’s wear are on offer at Universal’s Cartoon Store where the stock changes rapidly and features everything from Woody Woodpecker to SpongeBob SquarePants to Shrek. The Barney Shop is just what it says, a small stock of Barney-related clothing, toys, games, books, and DVDs.
Tip: Parents can avoid exposing their children to the temptations of this shop by exiting through one of the side doors of Barney’s Backyard.
