Although its intense thrill rides and movie-themed edutainment have brought Universal Studios Florida a reputation as an “adult” theme park, it hasn’t forgotten the kiddies. Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone, located along a winding avenue off the central lagoon, is a perfect case in point. If you have children under ten, you could very easily spend an entire day here, with only an occasional foray to sample other kid-friendly attractions in the park. There’s a nice balance here, too, from stage shows to play areas to kiddie-scale “thrill” rides. I describe them in roughly the order you encounter them as you wend your way deeper into Woody’s KidZone.
Tip: At the end of the Hollywood set, past Cafe La Bamba, look for the Gardens of Allah Villas on your right. Cut through here for a shortcut to Woody’s KidZone and the E.T. Adventure.
