Type: A kiddie roller coaster
Time: About 1 minute
Kelly says: A thrill ride for the younger set
Woody Woodpecker’s Nuthouse Coaster is described as a “gentle” children’s roller coaster, knocked together by Woody from bits of this and that, running through a nut factory. The eight cars on the “Knothead Express” are modeled after nut crates; they run along 800 feet of red tubular steel track supported by bright blue steel poles, which are in turn held together with knotty boards and rope.
The ride features some mild drops and tilted turns but it shouldn’t prove frightening to any child who meets the 36-inch minimum height requirement, although I have seen some none-too-happy grandparents.
