This charming little bistro blends the current craze for coffee bars with a tasty array of breakfast and dessert baked goods. It’s an unbeatable combination. If you’re visiting during one of the less crowded times of year (so you don’t have to dash right off to Shrek), you might want to pause here for a fortifying if calorie-laden breakfast. Sit outside on sunny days to entertain yourself with the passing parade.
There are gigantic blueberry, banana-nut, and bran muffins and roly-poly chocolate croissants. If you subscribe to the when-on-vacation-start-with-dessert philosophy, why not start the day off right with an eclair, or a slice of raspberry cheesecake? Most pastries and muffins are in the $3 to $4 range, with lavish cakes from The Cheesecake Factory around $5. Coffees range from the plain ($2) to fancy cappuccinos for a little over $3.
Later in the day, you can stop in for a smoked turkey, roast beef, or ham and Swiss sandwich on your choice of baguette or croissant.
