If you have a limited time at Universal Studios Florida, you probably won’t be able to see everything. However, it would be a shame if you missed the very best the park has to offer. Here, then, is my list of Academy Awards:
Terminator 2: 3-D Battle Across Time. With this show, the award for “best 3-D attraction in Orlando” moves from Disney to Universal.
Shrek 4-D. Another boffo 3-D entertainment guaranteeing Universal’s preeminence in the genre.
Curious George Goes To Town. Just for kids and just wonderful.
Jaws. A wet and wild updating of those old haunted house rides on the boardwalk. Ride it at night.
Revenge of the Mummy. Eternal torment has never been such fun.
Universal Horror Make-Up Show. Fun and games with dead bodies and strange critters.
Runners-Up
These aren’t on my list of the best of the best but they make many other people’s lists and they are very, very good.
Men In Black: Alien Attack. A ride-through video game pits you against the universe.
Animal Actors on Location! Hilarious and heartwarming antics of your favorite Hollywood stars.
Fear Factor Live. Takes audience participation to new heights (and lows).
E.T. Adventure. A bicycle ride to E.T.’s home planet is like it’s a small world on acid.
Twister. A perfect chance to get blown away.
