Here is another Off-Off Broadway-style theater offering mostly hip contemporary fare like Psycho Beach Party and Little Shop of Horrors and the occasional classic at moderate prices. The theater, a converted industrial building, has a 115-seat main stage with the audience on three sides of the stage. The performers are non-Equity, many of them just starting out on the stage, so the performance quality varies. The rock musical I saw there was vastly entertaining thanks to a spirited cast that made up in energy whatever they may have lacked in the talent department. Shows run for about a month with performances on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, with a Sunday matinee. Tickets are $18 ($15 for students and seniors).
