This small Equity company (all of its actors are based in the Orlando area) has returned to Orlando after several seasons in Sanford to the north. OTP performs in space leased from the Orlando Rep and the Orlando-UCF Shakespeare festival in Loch Haven Park. They present primarily American plays by playwrights such as Arthur Miller and A. R. Gurney. OTP also produces original scripts by local playwrights.
The three-play season runs from October to April, with each production running for three weeks. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $24; students and seniors (65+) $20. Orlando Theatre Project also presents a free play reading once a year.
